After two very small club meetings, each with only one attendee, the third time really was the charm. In December, posting an unexpectedly viral TikTok video, now sitting at over 86000 views, was our first taste of real success.
The library we met at reached out offering its auditorium as a meeting space, which we gladly accepted. Brendan, a student at the University of South Carolina's school of journalism, recorded a video for his final at our club meeting, getting an A on his assignment. And, content creator Evan Cooper, with nearly 2 million followers across all platforms, came to this club meeting as well.
All in all, this meeting attracted over 20 people, beginners and experienced cubers alike.
Our 2nd big club meeting, in January, had similar success. We had another crowd of over 20, many of which came all the way from Colorado.
In 2026, we plan to continue connecting the cubing community in Columbia, South Carolina, with 2 club meetings each month, potentially even organizing a competition. We are very excited to see what God will do with this club in 2026 and beyond.
